Jacquard weave is a system that originated in France. This weaving system allows for complex and detailed designs to be woven on silk, giving the finished material a very rich finish. Each thread in the saree is carefully placed in the loom to give the best fit for our vision. Popular jacquard designs include damasks, florals, and geometrics. This textured fabric has varying drape-ability and durability depending on the fibers used.
The durability of the iconic Matka Saree allows for the Jacquard weave to reach its true potential. These sarees have the potential for intricate works that allow our designers to truly shine. We procure this fabric from the villages of Karnataka and Kashmir but its spinning is done by us, here at West Bengal. The thickness of Matka Silk varies on the amount of yarn used and thus, the products made from it are known for their versatility. Our sarees are made to be especially thin and durable to provide maximum comfort and ease in wearing. To best maintain this fabric, it should be washed with care in mild detergent.
Each saree comes with complimentary unstitched blouse material and comes with the coveted handloom mark, certifying quality.
